When an excavator needs to be moved, we need to transport the mini excavator to its destination. A crawler excavator is not a machine that can be walked on the road for a long time because it can cause damage to the machine. So during the transportation process the truck needs to be lifted to the destination, but there are many things we need to pay attention to during these processes.
Before the excavator needs to be transported, we first have to lift the excavator for loading. During the lifting process, anyone on the excavator must make sure that the wire rope we are lifting can hold the weight of the excavator and that it is stable during the lifting process. Once the excavator has an unstable center of gravity, it will rotate during the lifting process. During the lifting process, the starting engine drives the upper part of the rotary body to rotate. At this point, the excavator’s work unit will be placed on the ground at the front and rear axle of the excavator.
The excavator is loaded. During the loading process, stop the excavator to the designated position, then lower the dozer, turn off the engine, pull out the key, let the bucket and dry bean cylinder extend all the way, and lower the movable arm. Keep the stability of the excavator so that it will not overturn during the transportation process. When loading, take care to place square logs inside the bucket and cylinder to avoid damaging the body during transportation.
When the excavator is transported to its destination, it needs to be unloaded. Unloading should be done with extra care, with the excavator’s generator running at low speed and walking slowly. Keep the trailer at a certain distance from the excavator with the help of a ramp or platform. Load and unload the excavator and do not change direction during unloading. If you have to change direction, you must correct the direction when going down the ramp. Such careful operation is to ensure the personal safety of our operators from damage to the mini excavator.
The above is a summary of the loading cranes related to excavators and the precautions to be taken when unloading. I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
